Life's Lessons
It turns out that one of the hardest things in the world is to have a brand new snowboard and have to wait six whole days to use it....

Blessed
What a lovely weekend. There is nothing like freezing weather to make you appreciate a warm home and a great family. The boys did such a beautiful job cleaning and decorating the house on Saturday, and it really felt like Christmas. They picked out the perfect tree, nice and fat, and made it look beautiful.
On Sunday we made Christmas cookies together and it was really fun. The one with the heart on it was my favorite :)
In just a few days, both of our moms will be here, and then the holidays will be complete. Just one week till Christmas!

The First Snow
All snow is awesome, but no snow is better than the first snow.
Know what I mean?
The first time you glance out the window and notice those white flakes falling.
Gasp! Oh my god, it's snowing!
Who can I call??
And even better than just seeing the snow outside the window is driving in it.
Five in the afternoon, as dark as 10pm.
Sitting behind the wheel, mesmerized by the thick, white flakes flying into your headlights.
Andrea Boccelli on the stereo.
That's the kind of drive that you don't want to end.
