The Broadway Exhileration

What's more fun than going to a Broadway show?? Not much!

One of my best friends was just here visiting, so we drove down to NYC for a few days. As a "welcome to the city" present from ourselves to ourselves, we went to "A Chorus Line". Although not a typically big-budget play, we were thoroughly entertained by the 80's-era costumes, characters, and dance numbers. And then of course we sang and danced our way directly to the nearest bar for a nice tummy-settling martini (or maybe it was two...).

ONE... singular sensation, every little step she takes (dada da dadada daaaa). ONE.. thrilling combination, every move that she makes...

Oh, and how can I forget the frozen state in which we found ourselves when we came face to face with Josh Lucas on our way in to the show! He fulfilled our hopes of seeing a celebrity while in the city. Thanks Josh. You're no Jake Gyllenhaal, but you'll do..

The In-Between Time

Sometimes sitting on the couch can feel indescribably good.

What a lovely weekend. Happy hour drinks and a delicious Italian meal on Friday, big family breakfast, playing in the park, and a home cooked meal on Saturday, and lazy breakfast and then exciting go-kart day on Sunday. It just doesn't get much better than that.

Now the weekend is almost over. Time to clean and prepare for the exciting week ahead. If I could just get off this couch...
